Joe Leroy Scott, age 66, died February 10, 2015 at his home in Blanco, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Crofts - Crow Funeral Chapel in Blanco, Texas, with Rev. Phil Flournoy officiating. Joe was born on August 28, 1948 in El Paso, Texas. He is the son of Lyle Dotson Scott and Anna Thurman Scott.
Surviving him are his wife; Linda Scott, three children- Russell Scarborough, Heather Scott, and Alexander Barret Scott. He was also blessed with five additional children; Dale Kunce, Mara and Medea Lee, Laura Price, and Aaron Hall. The blessings continued with twenty grandchildren, a new great-granddaughter, and his sister Vicki Donaghue and her three children. Joe put God first in his life and placed great value on all the gifts bestowed upon him; he treasured his wife, his family and his many friends; he never met a stranger. He loved God's nature, enjoyed hunting and fishing at every opportunity, and appreciated all Texas had to offer, especially the Texas Rangers Baseball Team. Joe would have wanted everyone to know that as much as he loved his worldly life, as he reached his end, he fully embraced his final journey home and looked forward with great joy to gaze upon Jesus' beautiful face.
