John David Geldorf , 81, of Spring Branch, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at his residence in Spring Branch.
John was born on July 4, 1937, in New York, New York to Rose Haus Geldorf and John Geldorf. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1955 to 1959 and continued his service in the Naval Reserves until 1963. John was a parishioner of St Fedinand Catholic Church in Blanco and was a retired owner and operator of an automobile air conditioning repair shop. John was an avid outdoorsman; he loved camping, fly fishing, RV traveling and 4 wheeling. In his younger years, he enjoyed showing off his champion skills working with his favorite cutting horse, Debs Poco Limbo, earning many ribbons and trophies.
John is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-four years, Beverly Pauz' Geldorf of Spring Branch; loving son Bryan John Geldorf and wife Nicola Lavinia Geldorf of Spring Branch; loving granddaughter, Tiffany Mattingly, and much loved great-grandchildren, Amanda Lego and Christopher Lego.
A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at St Ferdinand Catholic Church in Blanco with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at St Ferdinand Catholic Church. Military Burial of cremated remains will immediately follow at Blanco Historical Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the American Heart Association in memory of John.
