Bulverde
John Parish Kubin , age 57 of Bulverde, TX passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in San Antonio, TX.
John P. was born April 17, 1962 in Big Spring, TX to Lieutenant John Stanley and Nettie Fay Kubin while they were stationed at Webb Air Force Base. John P, the 4th in line of 8 children, moved all over as his father moved up in ranks with the United States Airforce. In 1980, John graduated from Park Hills High School, in Fairborn, Ohio. He attended Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, Texas where his father was finishing out his career at Tech with the USAF as Professor of Aeronautical Engineering and head of their ROTC. John's started his career at North Shore Bank in Houston as a data processor and later moved to Arlington, TX where his father, after retiring from the USAF, worked for Lockheed Martin. John was all about family especially after losing his brother, Mark Patrick at the age of 18. John went into business with his brothers, Ty and Troy as they started EMI.
John was a musician, a brother, an uncle, a friend but especially he was a son. A son who idolized his father and loved his momma. The last 4 years of John's life was spent in Bulverde, Tx, where he lived with his parents as they were getting up in age. He made himself available to drive his father to frequent appointments with the VA, run errands and help his momma around the house. He spent many evenings on their back porch listening to his father tell stories about Vietnam and other exciting and dangerous missions. John would often say, "Dad is my best friend, I would do anything for him". John was not only proud of his father, but he was proud to be an American and loved our President.
John is preceded in death by his father, Ret Col John Stanley Kubin; and three siblings, Mark Patrick Kubin, Ty Matthew Kubin, and Kelly Ann Kubin.
He is survived by his mother, Nettie Fay Kubin, sister, Tammy Kubin Jupe, brothers, Earl Kubin and wife Dawn, Troy Kubin and wife Jackie, and Brian Kubin. John is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and dear friends.
