Joyce Ann Harper was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on August 8, 1957. Joyce was many things including a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend. She was a collector, but she was generous, often to a fault. If a friend needed something that Joyce didn't already have to donate (which was rare), she would do anything to find it. Each day held a personal challenge for Joyce. Some challenges were fun, like racing to the restaurant to get coffee ready for the early table. Some were for a good cause, like donating a cherished piece of art to help raise money for the Toy Run. Joyce was an eternal optimist, always finding joy in the little things, including being able to talk to all different types of people at her job in Luckenbach and even in the smile her new grandson had just for her.
Joyce's life was cut short by a car wreck outside her home on December 2, 2015. She was 58 years old. She is survived by her husband, Horst; daughter, Valerie; grandson, Victor; siblings; Dale, Marleen and Darleen; niece, Candace and great niece and nephew Elizabeth and Dwight.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on December 12th and 13th, 2015 at the Blanco County Fair Grounds.
