Obituary

Joyce Mae Jackson Jones was born May 9, 1938 to Deacon Jack Jackson and Alveda Jackson (Patch) in Peyton Colony outside of Blanco Texas. At an early age she became a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church and continued attending until physically unable. She attended Peyton Colony School for the primary years and then attended Old Anderson High in Austin, Texas for high school. After returning to Peyton Colony, Joyce began her working career at Mills and Live Oak Nursing Centers as a CNA for over 30 years. Upon departing the nursing centers, she continued in the nursing field as a private caregiver where she developed very special and meaningful relationships. Joyce was a fun loving and giving person. She showed these qualities wherever she would be and would always open her home to anyone, especially those in need. One of the most important things to her was family togetherness. She was always the focal point of any family gathering no matter the hour. If she was not out with the family you could find her working on word searches and jigsaw puzzles.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents (Alveda and Jack), husband (Jack Richardson), husband for 40 years(Emil Jones Jr.), three sisters(Analee, Winora, Ara), and three brothers(Oscar, George, Thomas).

She will be mourned in her passing by her brother, LM Jackson; four daughters-Janice Soria, Debbie Jones, Catherine Lucille Jones(Mando), Mary Candy Campbell(Brandon); three sons- Robert Jones(Betty), Gary Jones(Debbie), William Jones; a grandson who she raised as a son-Clifton Richardson;12 other grandchildren-Randy, Jason, Dominique, Brian, Derek, Melvin, Levi, Kyara, Whitney, Torian, Justin, Breah; 17 great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
