Obituary

Joyce Lee Knoll , 81, passed away peacefully the morning of 9 March 2021 in her home in Blanco, Texas.  She was born to Marion and Sybil Lee on 30 January, 1940 and later attended high school at Austin High in Austin, Texas.  She led what seemed to be a fast-paced life and wore many hats which included bank teller, insurance secretary, cashier, Navy wife, truck driver, Ome, and her most important role, Mother.  On 23 December, 1977, she married her soulmate and the love of her life, Clifton Knoll, blending two families and bringing together their collective children.  Once Clifton retired from the United States Navy, they settled in Blanco, Texas where their adventures would continue, and ultimately, they bought a truck, a big truck, and drove the country for many years once their children were grown.  She had an insane love of frogs and yellow roses, and was always a loving and loyal wife and was a great Mother and Ome to the end.

She is survived by her husband, Clifton Knoll, their children, Lou Ann and her husband David Ashmore, Ron Bell and his wife Esthela, Troy Knoll, Karen Knoll Coldwell, Rich Knoll and his wife Tami, and Lisa and her husband Mitchell Tone.  She is also survived by her brother Bobby Lee and his wife Becky, nephew Donnie Lee, who was more like a son to her, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  She is to be laid to rest quietly with her family in attendance, and her rich life will be celebrated.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce's name to the American Cancer Society.
