It is with deep sorrow that we announce the upcoming funeral services for the late Juan "John" Pina of Blanco, Texas. Mr. Pina peacefully passed away on October 6, 2024, at the age of 74, in Austin, Texas.

John was born on March 26, 1950, in Hondo, Texas, to the late Eduardo and Calletana Pina. He spent his formative years in Blanco, Texas, where he graduated from Blanco High School. Following his graduation, John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before returning to Blanco, where he dedicated an impressive 52 years of service to Cox Paving.

A hardworking man with a passion for staying busy, John enjoyed welding, woodworking, and restoring classic cars. He was also fond of barbecuing and cherished spending time with his family.

John is survived by his children Tina Kuwamura, Joe Reed, Billy Carnes, and Roy Wayne Carnes; his siblings Maria G. Rendon (Fito), Sylvia Miller (Bud), Olga Chamless (Mark), and Eddie Pina (Irma); grandchildren Don, Alan, Lindsay, Ashley, and Carolyn; numerous nieces, Michele, Angelina, Jackelynn, Miranda, and Cristalina; nephews, Nick, Eddie, Jr., Coleton, and John E.; and a great-grandchild, De'Shane Jr., Kiori and Amilah Jeffries.

Visitation for Juan Pina will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco, Texas, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Friday, October 18, 2024, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Blanco, with interment to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, also in Blanco.
