Judy Kay
Evans
Feb 19, 1945 — Jul 23, 2023
Blanco
On July 23, 2023 Judith Kay Evans peacefully passed away at her home. She was born on February 19, 1945, to Ray Baxter Evans and Lela Kay Evans (Dyer) in the historic, original Blanco County Courthouse. Judy's heart and roots were deeply entwined with the town she adored, remaining a lifelong resident of Blanco.
From her early days at Blanco High School, where she formed lifelong friendships, to her professional career working with the State Bar of Texas, Judy embraced life with passion and dedication.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Judy was a woman of many passions. Her love for painting allowed her creativity to blossom. She also took an active interest in politics, staying informed and engaged, always ready for a spirited discussion on the matters close to her heart.
But above all, Judy's immense heart had a special place for animals. She was a dedicated animal lover, and her home was filled with the love and warmth of her cherished fur babies.
Judith was preceded in death by her brothers, Bud Evans and Rogers Evans. She leaves behind her loving children, James Darrin Oliver (Wife Jenny) and Sandy McDonough (Husband Dale) ; grandchildren, James Dakota Oliver, Colton Shane Oliver, Caroline Oliver, Madison Lela Kay Jordan, Heath Leland McDonough, and Caimen Dale McDonough and sister, Elizabeth Evans.
Beyond her immediate family, Judy's love reached far and wide. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and countless cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter, in honor of Judy's deep love for all creatures great and small.
