Obituary

June LaVonne Dahman peacefully departed from this world on November 27, 2023, in Austin, TX, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 28, 1940, in Somerville, TX, June was the daughter of Fred and Moline (Gage) Blackmon.

June grew up in Somerville where she met the love of her life Will Dahmann. The two exchanged vows on December 22, 1957, in Somerville, TX. Together, they embarked on a beautiful journey, settling in Johnson City, TX in June of 1965.

June was a vibrant member of her community, actively involved in various organizations and her church. She never missed an opportunity to support and encourage her children and grandchildren in their endeavors. June, along with Will, cherished the times they spent playing spades with their dear friends. Her love for travel took her to numerous destinations across the United States and abroad. Above all, June cherished the moments she spent with her family and dear friends, holding them closely in her heart.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her brother Blackie Blackmon and sister Patsy Alcorn. Left to honor her memory is her devoted husband of nearly 66 years, Will Dahmann; their three children, Keith Dahmann and wife Tonya, LaVonda Renfro, and Gage Dahmann and wife Dana; sister Molly Koennecke and husband Steven; six grandchildren, Kristen, Erin, Colby and wife Lisa, Brooke, Jake, and J.P.; and great granddaughter, Riley June.

June's beautiful spirit and unwavering love will forever be remembered by all those whose lives she touched. While we mourn her loss, we are comforted by the memories we shared and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
