Kandis Marie Gliddon was born on November 27, 1981 in Johnson City, Texas and died at Brackenridge Hospital, Austin, Texas on May 6, 2007 due to complications from treatment for ovarian cancer. She is survived by parents Reverdy and Debra Gliddon, older sister Lecia Gliddon, and younger brother James (Buddy) Gliddon, his wife Winnie Gliddon, and their son R.J. Gliddon, all of Smithwick, Texas. Also surviving her are her maternal grandparents Wilford and Gloria Fry, aunts and uncles Connie and Dennis Krause, Wilma Fry, and Randy and Sandy Fry, all of Smithwick. Paternal aunts and uncles are Frankie and Don Green of Johnson City, Marcy and Kevin Koyl of Granite Shoals, J.R. (Shorty) Gliddon of Granite Shoals, and Tony and Donna Gliddon of Kingsland. She is also survived by many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents James F. (Butch) and Annie Gliddon. From birth, Kandis was a strong, spirited child. She always had a special love for elderly people and enjoyed working with them at the nursing home. She also loved animals and was surrounded by them all of her life.Kandis' battle with cancer was short but fierce, and the family wishes to thank the staff at Brackenridge Hospital for all of their care and concern.We're gonna miss you Hilmer. You fought a good fight Sissy, and we know you gave it all you could. We love you.
