Katherine Elmira Casparis was born on May 26, 1921 in Johnson City Tx. and went to be with the Lord at 93 years old on April 6, 2015. She was 1 of 10 children born to Austin and Fannie Casparis.

Elmira is survived by her brother Jerry D. Casparis, 8 Nieces Helen Cook, Mary Ann Bearden, Barbara McKnight, Sally Hotz and husband Dr. Roy Hotz, Bonnie Shaffer and husband Al Shaffer, Dianna (Deanie) Casparis, Janet Merks and Husband Gerald Merks, Jerry Ann Buck and Husband Shane Buck along with many great and great great nieces and nephews

She is proceeded in death by her Ex Husband Howard Alvey, Long Time Companion Charles Ladd, Father Austin Casparis & Mother Fannie Casparis.
Brothers ? AJ Casparis, Dayton Casparis, H.M Casparis, Nolan H. Casparis, JR (Dutch) Casparis and, 3 Sisters, Louise Edwards, Margaret Walker and Helen Cammack.

Elmira graduated from high school in Johnson City and went on to Durham's Business school in San Antonio. She had a professional career working for San Antonio music as well as Outman's.

In her life she loved travel the world and went on many trips traveling the US and over seas including Switzerland, Germany, Hawaii, and Italy.

She moved from San Antonio to Johnson City in 2006. She wanted to be close to her family and enjoy her later days back at home. Even in her 80s building a house and moving was not a challenge. She always had a candy bar and a coke for you if you stopped by to visit.

In Oct of 2014 she moved the LBJ Medical Center were and lived until she passed away peacefully on April 6, 2015

Graveside Services will be held at Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City TX on Wednesday, April 8th at Eleven o'clock am with Rev. Ernest Topper officiating.
