Laura Lindeman
Caza
Mar 21, 1939 — Jun 12, 2021
San Antonio
Laura Lindeman Caza was born on March 21, 1939, to Alton and Lorene Lindeman at their family ranch in Blanco, Texas. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 12, 2021. Her life was devoted to her family and her faith.
Laura was raised in Blanco where she lived with her parents, two sisters and twin brothers. With her family, she worked on the ranch -- caring for the animals, tending crops, and running their small dairy business, delivering milk to families across Blanco. The family was active in the Blanco Methodist Church and Laura maintained an active role in the church - baking for Sunday morning fellowship, serving as the church historian, supporting the Annual Bazaar, and volunteering for Vacation Bible School.
Laura's love of sports, playing softball, volleyball and basketball in high school led her to attend and graduate with a bachelor's degree from South West Texas State University. Laura taught elementary physical education in Austin and San Antonio for 31 years, making a positive impact on thousands of children and making lifelong friends along the way.
Pat and Laura were married in 1990 and enjoyed 30+ years together. Upon retirement, they enjoyed traveling, including Germany, Canada, and many national parks including Yosemite, Olympia, the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone. They also visited numerous cities and places across the U.S., including Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Hawaii, Tennessee and many other destinations. They thoroughly enjoyed spending time between their homes in San Antonio and Blanco.
Laura enjoyed many things in life, including flower gardening, hunting, gathering local fruits and berries, making jams and jellies, reading, and participating Bible studies. Laura cherished her time with family and friends. Bringing the extended family together at the ranch was something that she always made sure happened on holidays and to celebrate birthdays. Her most favorite pastime was spending time with her children and five grandchildren.
Laura is preceded in death by her sister, Christine Lindeman and parents, Alton and Lorene Lindeman. She is survived by her husband, Pat Caza; daughter, Teri Albrecht, her husband Gernot and their children Karsten and Torben; and sons: Brad Heimer, his wife Shannon and their children Sydney, Carissa and Travis; Raymond Caza and his wife Ninfa; and Paul Caza; her sister, Charlene Singleton and husband, Raymond; her brother Carroll Lindeman and wife, Tina; her brother Harvie Lindeman and Denise Garza, and the extended families of her siblings, which included many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home, Blanco, Texas and the funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, June 18, 2021, at the Blanco United Methodist Church. A graveside service will follow at the Blanco Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in honor of Laura Lindeman Caza to the Scholarship Fund at Blanco United Methodist Church, 61 Pecan Street, Blanco, Texas 78606.
