Obituary

Lillian Marie Weber, nee Mueller died peacefully surrounded by family and friends early on December 18, 2015 in New Braunfels, Texas.

Lillian (Grandma Weber to many) was born at home on January 10, 1932, in Twin Sisters, Texas to Oscar and Hertha (Weinstrom) Mueller. She attended the Twin Sisters' school through eighth grade and graduated from Blanco High School. Following graduation she moved to San Antonio and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She also spent time working as a lab technician at the Blanco Hospital located in the Old Blanco County Courthouse building.

While attending high school in Blanco, she met Chester Weber and they married on July 28, 1951 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in San Antonio. She became a rancher's wife where together they worked side-by-side tending livestock. Together they enjoyed the outdoors where they hunted and fished. They passed on their love of the outdoors to their children. After Chester's death in 1988, she continued the family ranching operation for nearly 25 more years. Only stopping because her health no longer allowed. Her delicious cooking was enjoyed by all especially her homemade cinnamon rolls.

Lillian was a long time member of St. Ferdinand's Catholic Church in Blanco where she was a member of the St. Ann's Alter Society. She will be remembered for donating beautiful hand made quilts that she and her sister-in-law Gertrude Hartmann pieced with love. She was a long-standing member of the Blanco PTO and served as room mother for her four children for many years. She spent time volunteering at the Good Samaritan's donation center and loved bowling with Chester and later her dear friend Dolores Cox. Lillian also served as the secretary for the Local Twin Sisters' Hermann Sons Lodge for many years.

Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Leland and Chester Mueller, sister Joyce Ottmers, her husband, and her oldest daughter Donna Lynn Ethridge.

Lillian is survived by her son-in-law Michael Ethridge, her children, Herman and wife Nancy, William and wife Annette, Lisa Nance and husband Timothy; Grandchildren Matt Ethridge and wife Jacque, Marcus Ethridge and wife Jennifer, Casey Ott and husband Patrick, Kalan Bobbitt and husband John, Colby Weber and wife Sarah, Brenton Fricke and wife Theresa, Tanner Fricke and wife Sarah, Marshal Weber, Callie Jane Nance, Bret Leigh Nance and Avery Marie Nance; Great-grandchildren Magnus, Margo, Maverick, Marian, Myron and Micah Ethridge, Parker and Kendall Ott, Campbell and Landry Bobbitt and Carson Fricke, Sister; Corrine Gass, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Gertrude and Francis Hartmann.
