Obituary

Lloyd Huggins, 70, of Round Mountain, Texas, was born on 29 February 1936, and he passed away on 4 April 2006.  A fifth generation Texan and leap year baby, Lloyd was born in Llano County 70 yrs ago to Henry and Coy Huggins. A gifted athlete, he was Mr. L.H.S. and an All-State Wide Receiver at Llano High School who helped lead the Yellow Jackets to a victory in the State Football Championship before graduating in 1954. Lloyd was awarded a full scholarship to run track at Cisco Jr. College where he was a member of the mile relay team and ran hurdles.  After graduation he enlisted in the U.S.Army. He was a medic in the 1st Airborne Battle Group, 82nd Infantry. After one tour of duty he received an Honorable Discharge. Raised on the Duncan Ranch across from Pack Saddle Mtn. Lloyd was a pioneer of 40 + years in the Cable TV industry, and rode bulls on the week end. He lived all over the United States over the years but maintained Round Mountain as his home. Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brothers, Pete and Robert and one son, Kevin. He is survived by one daughter, Misty Dawn Huggins and James Ross and their daughter, Rayvn Ross; two sisters, Jo McDonald of San Antonio and Frankie Jagge of San Antonio ; Kevin's daughters, Candice, Shelby and Paige and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Alyssa; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. Services will be held at the Round Mountain Cemetery at 3:oop.m.,  Friday, 7 April 2006. Arrangements by Crofts Funeral Home, Johnson City, Texas.
