Lucia V. Hernandez , aged 89, of Johnson City, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Marble Falls, Texas. Born on July 11, 1935, in San Antonio, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Ignacio P. and Sofia V. Hernandez.

Lucia was preceded in death by her cherished brother, Rudolph V. Hernandez, as well as her sister, Menira H. Castañeda, and brother-in-law, Alvaro H. Castañeda. She is survived by her devoted niece, Sonia G. Howell and husband Steve of Johnson City, Texas, her niece, Yvonne R. Morin and husband Gene of Corpus Christi, Texas, and her great-niece, Victoria Morin of Austin, Texas. Lucia will also be fondly remembered by her extended family and dear friends.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the friends and neighbors at Hill Country Villas in Marble Falls, Texas, where Lucia resided for nearly three and a half years. During her time there, she cherished her independence and looked forward to community gatherings, particularly the potlucks where she delighted in sharing her special pineapple cake.

Graveside services will be held at the Johnson City Masonic Cemetery on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM. All family and friends are invited to join in commemorating her life and legacy.

Lucia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
