Lynda Sue Whisenant of Johnson City, TX passed away on June 22, 2020 in Fredericksburg, Texas at the age of 69.

Lynda was born on September 19, 1950 to Wilburn and Carley Whisenant. She grew up in Johnson City, TX, where she spent most of her life. Lynda enjoyed listening to music, two-stepping to old country songs, spending time with her friends and family, fishing, and reminiscing about the good times with her beloved daughter, parents, and brother.

Lynda was preceded in death by her daughter, Sjoni Hamm; brother, Donald Whisenant; and parents, Wilburn Laverne (John) and Caryle Mae (Tincy) Whisenant. She is survived by her brother, Dennis Whisenant and wife, Regina of Marble Falls, TX; her Sister, Laverne Pease and husband Dewitt of Cuero, TX; aunt, Shirley Smith of Boerne, TX; Ex-Husband, John Hamm of Colorado; and life long friend, David Dufner of Johnson City, TX. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Lynda was loved and will be dearly missed by so many. Her wish was that everyone would remember her for the good times they shared with her, and know that she is at peace with Sjoni.

The family requests that those who plan to attend the funeral for Lynda, practice social distancing guidelines.

Graveside services will be held at 9:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Driftwood Cemetery, Driftwood, TX 78619, with Pastor Greg Steele officiating.
