Maria del Socorro Ramirez , age 85, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 in Austin, TX.  She was born in May of 1935 in Juarez, Mexico.  Although she lived most of her life in El Paso, she spent the last two years enjoying country living in Blanco, TX near her children.

As the matriarch of the family, she made everyone and anyone around her feel welcome and at home. She was the center that everyone gravitated towards.  Always quick to smile and laugh, she loved being around her family.

She absolutely loved to cook and feed everyone that came to visit. The entire family would look forward to the world's best homemade flour tortillas.

She was always willing to help out those who needed it, from a family member to the stray cats in the neighborhood.  She was truly a woman with the most beautiful heart and soul.   Socorro was a devoted wife to her husband Juan, a loving mother to her children Salvador, Patricia, and MariaElena, a warm and caring mother-in-law to Joseph and Israel, and a most beloved grandmother to her 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
