Obituary

Marilyn Golson was born in London, England, on June 9, 1948, to William and Movy Bladen. She went to be with the Lord and other loved ones in Heaven on Nov. 30, 2022. She died peacefully and painlessly in her sleep at home.

Marilyn graduated from school in London at the age of 15 and went to work for Shell Oil Company. She, all her life, was an avid fan of Manchester United English Football (Soccer) Team. She met her husband Bill Golson while he was working in London for Brown and Root UK (Houston, Texas), for engineering, fabrication and installation of offshore platforms and pipelines for the oil and gas industry for their North Sea developments. Marilyn was also working for Brown and Root UK. They married on Oct. 11, 1974.

Marilyn accompanied her husband on other foreign projects while maintaining a residence in Kingwood, Texas; Bahrain, 11 years, Korea, 3 years, and Singapore, 4 years. She always accepted with love, people of all nationalities and cultures. While living in Bahrain, she traveled to London for the birth of sons William Thomas Golson (12/12/1976) and Barry Bladen Golson (8/25/1978). After Bill's retirement from Brown and Root, they relocated from Houston, and then to the Blanco area in 2002.

She is preceded in death by son, Barry Bladen Golson; parents, William and Movy Bladen; and sister, Melita Blee. She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Golson; son, William Thomas Golson, and his children, Kaylee and Dylan; grandson, Barry Golson; and stepchildren and families, Robert Golson and family: wife Rachel, Colt, Nick, Lox, Sonya, Eric Jr, Adam (deceased), Sabrina and Greyson; Robin Dietrich and family: husband Ron, Rachel, Ronnie, Rikki and husband Bradley, London, Lila, and Leyton; Rhonda Parmer and family: husband Billy, Rayley, Harbour, Harlow, Ray, wife Caley and son William Ray, Roman, Rebekah, Raquel, Rocky, Rambo; Roxanne Ford and family: husband Julian, Reid, Eva. Marilyn loved all of them very much.

Marilyn is survived by her nephew Robert Blee, wife Catherine and son Lucas of Ebensee, Austria, Europe (owner and operator a holiday accommodation lodge). They are of Marilyn's pre-marriage immediate family. She stayed in constant contact with them and loved them beyond words. She is also survived by cousins and friends whom she cherished and loved.
