Aka "Nanny B", "Beardo", "MurMur" and "Turkey Lady"
Mary Ann was the daughter of Howard Milton and Anna Mae Casparis, born August 19, 1935 in Johnson City, TX. Mary Ann went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2020. She graduated from W.B. Ray High School and attended Del Mar Jr. College in Corpus Christi. She retired from Pedernales Falls State Park after 22 years of service. Mary Ann was not only known for her colorful, decorative fashion but also for her colorful language and expressive mannerisms. She had a tremendous sense of humor and loved to laugh. Mary Ann married Kenneth Ray Bearden on May 30, 1959. After their divorce she purchased a jackass and named it KB in honor of him, where it thrived on the property for many years.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her father, Howard Milton and mother, Anna Mae Casparis. She is survived by her loving sister, Dianna Gail Casparis of Johnson City, TX. A son "Golden Boy" Brent Ray Bearden and wife, Kimberly Ann Bearden of Ft Collins, Colorado, daughter, Janna Lynn Douglas and husband, Joel Lee Douglas of Weatherford, TX. Four granddaughters, Samantha Ann Bearden of New York City, Savannah Ray Bearden of Portland, Oregon, Amanda Lynn Douglas and Ashton Lee Douglas, both of Fort Worth TX, and her four-legged fur baby Cloi, along with many cousins and friends.
A special thanks to cousin, Jerry Ann Casparis Buck and husband Shane Buck, Taylor Buck and Haley Ashton Goode for their help through the years and especially during these trying times.
Also, to everyone who entered her life and called her friend, WE THANK YOU!
Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, June 29, 2020 at Crofts - Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Johnson City Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Ernest Topper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church, Johnson City, TX, the Johnson City Volunteer Fire Dept., North Blanco Co. EMS, or New Century Hospice in Marble Falls, TX.
