Obituary

Mary Gipson, 74, Of Johnson City, beloved companion, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away in her home December 8, 2005. Mary had been a diabetic for several years and in August of this year was diagnosed with cancer. Mary was born September 13, 1931 in San Saba, Texas to Raymond Melton and Ruby Williams. Her life was full and enriched by her wonderful family and caring friends, which were the most important parts of her life. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William, (Bill) C. Kusy, second husband, G.R. Gipson, her Mother, Ruby Williams, her Father, Raymond Melton, and her sister, Melba Harrison. She is survived by her loving companion and best friend, George Stevenson, two sons, Charles Kusy and his wife, Marilyn Kusy, Douglas Kusy and his wife Carol Kusy, her grandchildren, Sheryl Phillips and her husband Kevin Phillips, Jason Kusy, Jennifer Kusy, her sister, Laverne Brooks and her brothers, Jimmie Williams and his wife, Juanita Williams, Johnny Williams and his wife Stella Williams and Joe Williams. The Family would like to express their thanks to all those who helped her during her dialysis treatments in Fredericksburg and to the Hospice Care of Fredericksburg who cared and comforted her through her last days. Family will be receiving visitors at Crofts Funeral Home in Johnson City, Sunday December 11th, 2005, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 12th, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas, Texas.
