MASGT Ret. Charles Louis Horton passed away due to cardiac complications on Saturday April 7, 2007 at the age of 73. He retired from the Air Force on December 1st, 1972 after serving his country in the Aleutians, Spain, Japan and other areas. After retiring from the Air Force he worked at Rothe Industries at Brooks Field Air Force Base until he retired in 2000. Born in Antioch Illinois June 25, 1933, he chose to make his home in San Antonio, Texas while completing his military career at Lackland Air Force Base. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of 6 children, Kathleen Ann Coyne in 1985. He is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Dorothy Millicent Horton; and by his sister, Karen Kublank of Spring Branch, Texas; and by his children Charles, James, Matt, Susan, Louis, Samantha, Elaine, Warren, Bonnie, Dottie, Ray; 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Wednesday, April 11 at Crofts Funeral Home, Blanco. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Thursday, April 12 at Crofts Funeral Home.
