Mildred Oleta Hille, 91, of Kendalia, Texas was called to the Lord on July 8, 2014.

Mildred was born in Irving, Texas and graduated from Irving High School. She met the love of her life shortly before WWII and after a long distance romance, Richard T. "Dick" Hille returned home and the two were married in Dallas, Texas on August 28, 1945. They celebrated 52 years of marriage before Dick's death on July 8, 1997, exactly 17 years to the day before Mildred's death this week.

She enjoyed her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. During her life on earth Mildred served as room mother, scout leader, held open houses for the San Antonio Policemen that were on duty during the holidays and enjoyed welcoming friends and family into her home. After raising three children and Dick's retirement, they were able to make their dream of living in the country come true in 1987 and moved to their home in Kendalia. In 2008, Mildred moved to her new home at Care Choice of Boerne and took pleasure in making new friends and joining in all the activities.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; parents, O.C. and Bertha Green; brother, Jay Green; sisters, Louise Burns and Frances May.

She is survived by her three children; sons, Richard Hille and wife Donna of San Antonio, Clayton Hille and wife Diana of Granite Shoals and one daughter; Michelle Lux and husband Darrel of Kendalia, four grandchildren; Justin Hille, Carrie Wisinger and husband, Jeremy, Aaron Lux and wife Jessie, Allison Burow and husband, Kyle. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren and her CareChoice of Boerne family of residents and staff.

Services will be held Saturday, July 12, at 10 a.m. at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home, Blanco, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to Kendall County EMS Association or Kendalia Volunteer Fire Department.
