Monie Stipanovich of Spring Branch, TX passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 lovingly surrounded by his family.  He was born August 21, 1926 in Kansas City, KS to Nicola and Milka Stipanovich.

Monie proudly served his country during WWII with the U.S. Army.

Monie was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings, Nick, Al, Mary, Pete, and Joe; one stepson, Chuck Poteat; and one granddaughter, Rebecca Popke.

He is survived by his loving wife, Murle (Grantham-Poteat) Stipanovich; siblings, Ray Stipanovich, Dorothy Murphy, Sophie Monchil and husband David; five step children, Vicki Augustine and husband Fred, Al Mutzbauer and wife Patricia, Paul Mutzbauer and wife Linda, Tommy Poteat and wife Melinda, and Bill Poteat and wife Debbie; sisters in love, Bobbye McGill, Laverne Meeks, and Marion Sturgeon; as well as 8 grandchildren including Richard Sturgeon and Chris Popke. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Graveside services will be held at 9:15 AM, Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209.
