Obituary

Nancy Lynn Glaze of Blanco, TX, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a remarkable woman whose presence will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Born on October 15, 1965, in Manteca, CA, Nancy was a cherished daughter of Rocky and Barbara Ann Shearer. She graduated from Manteca High School in 1984 and went on to serve her country with pride in the U.S. Army until her honorable discharge in 1989. In 1997, she met the love of her life, Rex Alan Glaze, and they united in marriage in 2000, embarking on a beautiful journey together that would last for 26 years.

In 2013, Nancy and Rex made their home in the charming town of Blanco, TX, where she went on to work as the Administrative Assistant for the Blanco Police Department. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her passion for crafting, which she turned into a personal business called Nana Nancy’s Creative Crafts. However, those who knew her well would agree that her greatest joy stemmed from spending time with her family, especially her four adoring grandchildren, who brought a sparkle to her eyes.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, but she leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will continue to shine through her surviving family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Rex; her daughter, Destiny Griffin, and her husband Terral; her four cherished grandchildren, Phoenix, Aiyana, Niahne, and Atreus; her sister, Sandra Bishop, and her husband, Jerry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends.

A memorial service will be held in celebration of Nancy’s life on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories, honoring the beautiful spirit of a woman who touched the lives of so many.

Nancy’s laughter, kindness, and creativity will always be remembered, and she will remain forever in the hearts of those she loved.
