Nicholas Banfield, 25, passed away February 09, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas from a rock climbing accident. Nicholas was born in Garland, TX to John Banfield, Jr. and Valerie Banfield. He graduated from Johnson City High School in 2007 where he was involved with the band for a number of years. Nicholas was currently attending UTSA where he was pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. Nicholas enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to live music, riding his motorcycle, rock climbing, cooking and hanging out with his friends and his dog Hans.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, John and Valerie Banfield; his brother, Michael Banfield; grandparents, John and Janyth Banfield of Fredericksburg, Marolyn Corbin of Waco, and S.M. "Bud" and Arlene Corbin of San Diego; and uncle, Jeff Banfield and wife Anita of Fredericksburg.
A memorial service celebrating Nicholas' life will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Liberty Lighthouse Fellowship, 321 Old River Crossing, Johnson City, TX 78636 with Rev. Jim Boatright officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "Nicholas Banfield Memorial Scholarship Fund" at Johnson City Bank, PO Box 426 Johnson City, Tx 78636.
