Obituary

Nicholas Burison, a hardworking man of integrity, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25th at his home with his family at his bedside. Nick died of natural causes at the age of 83. He was born in Uniontown PA, the youngest of 15. He graduated high school in Uniontown and served our country in the army both active duty and reserve. Nick met the love of his life, Lee Bak, at a dance after he moved to Buffalo, NY. They were married in 1954. Nick and Lee had 2 daughters and lived in West Seneca, NY .Here, Nick was a volunteer fireman for approximately 16 years serving as president for 1 term. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club. Nick worked for Westinghouse for 35 years during which the company transferred Nick and his family to Texas in 1976. In 1979, Nick and Lee moved to California for another transfer and job promotion where they stayed until Nick retired. Shortly after retirement, Nick and Lee moved back to Texas to be near their daughters and granddaughter. Back in Texas, they settled comfortably in the beautiful hills of Johnson City. Nick and his son-in-law, John, built two homes nestled in the hills where they have been living for 27 years. Nick was a member of the Lions Club, the Rotary Club and Masonic Lodge. He also served on the board for the Blanco County EMS. This loving husband and father is survived by his wife, Lee, two daughters, Suzanne Ticer and Barbara Upton and granddaughter Nicole Ticer.
