BLANCO ? Norma Nell Laumer, 85 of Blanco passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 29th, at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Chapel in Blanco, Texas.

Norma was born on April 5, 1929 to Lee and Elva Mae (Smart) West in Blanco, Texas. She was a graduate of Blanco High School, and at a dance met and married William John "Shorty" Laumer, and for five years lived in South Dakota, but moved back to Blanco. She worked as an LVN in nursing homes in Blanco, Johnson City, Wimberly, San Marcos and Fredericksburg for 40 years. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Pete West, and a sister Leona Mae Moore.

Norma is survived by three sons; David Laumer of Blanco, Bobby Laumer of Johnson City, and Freddy Laumer of Spring Branch, two daughters; Wanda Bernal of San Antonio and Mary Laumer of Hawthorne, CA. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, friends and extended family.
