Patricia Jo Bartkowiak (Hensley) , age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025, in Blanco, Texas. Born on November 5, 1941, in Texarkana, Arkansas, Patricia lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and a deep love for her family.
She was united in holy matrimony to Raymond Bartkowiak on June 3, 1961. The union was blessed with two daughters. Raymond preceded her in death on July 8, 2015.
A graduate of Houston Vocational Technical School, Patricia went on to build a successful career as an administrative assistant with PaineWebber, Inc., then UBS, where she was known for her dedication and professionalism. After retiring, she embraced the joys of family life and pursued her many interests with enthusiasm.
Patricia had a passion for rock collecting and found beauty in the natural world. She also expressed herself through songwriting and cherished quiet moments spent reading. Her greatest joy came from traveling and spending time with her family—creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sandy Penning and Rayann Croft; her sons-in-law, David Penning and Gary Croft; her grandchildren, Megan Penning, Joshua Croft, Ashley Croft, and Tyler Penning. Patricia's legacy lives on through them and all who were fortunate to know her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Bartkowiak; her mother, Essie Mae Coker; her father, Joe Hensley Sr.; brothers Roy Max Hensley, Daniel C. Foreman, and Joe Hensley, Jr; and sisters Jewel Robinson, Bobbie Schafer, Melba Jean Foreman, Jane Custard, and Dimple Henry.
Patricia's generous spirit, loving heart, and infectious laughter touched many lives. She was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco with services beginning at 2:00 PM in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Blanco Cemetery.
