Patricia Lee
Rogers
Aug 19, 1939 — Mar 21, 2026
Wimberly
Patricia Lee (Wall) Rogers , beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and educator, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, in Wimberly, Texas. Born on August 19, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas, she was the daughter of Rowell and Lillian Hauffler Wall. Patricia was an alumna of the University of Texas, graduating in 1961. Following her graduation, she dedicated her life to teaching English in middle schools in Houston.
In August of 1963, Patricia married Eddy Rogers. As her husband pursued his law degree, she continued her teaching career in Massachusetts. The couple welcomed their first child, Blakely Ann, in February 1966, followed by three other children—Eddy James III ("Jed"), Todd Wall, and Rachel Ashley. Upon Eddy's discharge from the Army in early 1968, they returned to Houston, where Patricia devoted herself to her family and community.
Patricia was especially proud of her role in founding an Episcopal Day School at her church in Houston. She also played an active part in Houston Zoo activities, all while nurturing her four energetic children. A true animal lover, she will be remembered for her infectious smile, cheerful disposition, and the deep affection she held for all living creatures.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents and her two sisters, Evelyn and Carmen, as well as her beloved daughter Rachel, who passed away in 2019 following surgery. She is survived by her husband, Eddy, her three surviving children and their spouses, eleven grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members who will carry on her legacy of love and compassion.
Patricia Lee Rogers will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
A celebration of life honoring Mrs. Rogers will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Old Blanco County Courthouse in Blanco.
