Obituary

Peggy Jean Kneese was born on April 6, 1963, in New Braunfels, TX to Josephine Boos Kneese and Clifton Kneese. She was raised in Spring Branch, TX on Cherry Creek Ranch alongside her siblings, Johnny Kneese, Nancy Kneese, and Richard Kneese.

Peggy entered this world as a tiny baby with the blackest hair and the fairest skin.  Doctors told her parents that she would likely never walk, talk, or live beyond the age of six.  Peggy proved them wrong.  Though she did not begin walking until she was four years old, she went on to live a full and remarkable life for r63 years.

She began school at the age of six and continued her education until she was 22 years old.  Peggy participated in the Special Olympics in San Marcos and attended her high school prom, proudly wearing one of her sister's long dresses.

As a young child, Peggy had a special friend, Nicky Maly, and loved dancing to polka music.  Music and dancing brought her tremendous joy throughout her life. She was especially enjoyed dancing with her beloved terrier, Coco.

Peggy was a happy child who rarely missed out on family activities. She went everywhere her family went and never needed a babysitter. In her younger years, the family traveled to surrounding towns showing cattle, and Peggy was always right in the middle of the excitement.

She loved tamales, cheese enchiladas, and powdered donuts.  Peggy also enjoyed helping her mother in the garden and especially loved her mother's homemade bread and hot rolls.

One of Peggy's favorite activities was riding on her father's wagon, often pulled by donkeys or mules.  She also possessed a remarkable talent for writing.  Her family discovered that she could create poems and stories by carefully copying words from labels and other printed materials. Peggy's beautiful penmanship was one of her many gifts.

Peggy was always eager to help around the house.  She faithfully assisted with folding laundry and took great pride in her appearance, paying close attention to her clothes, shoes, and hair. She especially enjoyed weekly trips with her mother to the beauty shop and grocery store.

Christmas was Peggy's favorite holiday. Although she often received the most gifts, she patiently waited until everyone else had opened theirs before opening her own. She simply loved the joy and excitement of receiving thoughtful gifts.

Peggy leaves behind a loving extended family who cherished her deeply; Rebecca Gossens and husband Danny, their daughter, Natasha and her husband, their son, Vincent,  and daughter Gigi; Clifton Kneese, his sons, Tucker and Jesse; Roger Kneese, his daughter, Madison and son Kade, Richard Kneese and wife Donna, Rory Kneese and wife Jessica, their sons, Clayton and Colton, Lance Kneese and wife Stephanie, their daughters, Ann and Rose, Braden Kneese and wife Tara, their son Slade and daughter Sutton, and Jennifer Rodriguez and husband Roy, their sons, James, Caden and CJ.

Peggy will be remembered for her joyful spirit, determination, loving heart, and the happiness she brought to everyone who knew her.  She touched countless lives and showed everyone around her the true meaning of perseverance, courage, and unconditional love.

We will miss that wave and that special smile whenever we return home.

Bye-bye Angel Girl. We will all mis you and love you forever. You are our hero.
