Peggy Elizabeth (Forbes) Stieler , 91, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 19, 2018 in Kyle, TX surrounded by her family. She was born March 3, 1927 in Cypress Mill, TX to Harry H. Forbes and Edna E. Wiedebusch.

Peggy (Sisty) was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert (Bob) R. Stieler; and sister, Patty Sue Merchant. She is survived by her siblings, Penny Jo Fries, Harry Lynn Forbes and wife Jan, and Pam Chase; nieces, Cathy Hawes, Kim Syring, Kayce Forbes and Lorri Chase; nephews, James Forbes, Gregg Forbes, and Paul Forbes. She is also survived by many great nieces, great nephews and dear friends.

After being raised in Cypress Mill of The Texas Hill Country, Sisty received her education and worked for the Texas Highway Department in Austin. Sisty and Bob retired to their ranch in Cypress Mill, TX. among many friends and relatives. She took great pleasure in tending to their animals as well as dyeing, spinning, and weaving wool and mohair.  She and Bob were avid gardeners and enjoyed sharing the fruits of their labor with family and friends.  They were also known for their prize-winning boer show goats.  Peggy's spunky spirit will be missed by many.

Graveside services will be held at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in the Cypress Mill Cemetery.
