Obituary

Philip Cook was born on November 28, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio to mother Lucy Cook. He passed away after a short illness in Round Rock, Texas on May 21, 2026.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Gregg Cook, his grandmother Edna R. Gregg, uncles, Jerry Gregg, Fred Gregg, Jim Gregg and Adrian Gregg.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sheila Cook, his daughter Amber Cook, his brother Greg Cook, Greg's wife Dovie and their son, Doug Cook, Sister in law, Michelle Harmon, Brother in Laws, Michael Wimberly, Neal Wimberly, Niece Misty Cruz, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Philip proudly served in the Vietnam War in 1967-Company B-"Bushmaster"-4th Battalion-47th Infantry-9th Infantry Division. Philip was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting was his passion. Philip did not just put out a deer feeder and wait for the deer to come to him. Philip tracked them and harvested them the hard way. He loved spending time at his ranch in Richland Springs, Texas. His roots run deep in Bee Caves, Texas where he grew up. If you needed any type of help, Philip was there. He could fix anything from A to Z. His career was with LCRA in Austin, Texas until he retired after 20 years.
