Phillip Dale Hartmann, age 65 of San Antonio and Blanco, passed away December 23, 2020. Phillip was born in San Antonio on August 9, 1955 to Francis and Gertrude Hartmann. Phil attended Churchill High School and received his Bachelor's degree from Texas State University.
Phil had a long career and retired from USAA and, was the long standing President of Hermann Sons Lodge at Twin Sisters. He loved the outdoors - hunting, fishing and taking family and friends on tours of the ranch in his Mule. He loved life and it showed through his sunny disposition and his uplifting anecdotes. He will always be remembered as a talented man who could bring laughter and smiles to anyone, anywhere and anytime. He was well known for his playful and thoughtful poems for any occasion. As far as style goes, no one could TOP him on his wild assorted hat collection.
Phil is survived by his sons, Nicholas (Karen), Louis (Sara); Mother Gertrude; Brothers Stephen (Georgia), Guy (Linda); Sister Laurie; grandchildren Sara, Katie and Jayce; Fiancé Sherri Thrailkill; Nephews Edward (Molly), John (Shannon) and Cale; Nieces Shannon (Giorgio) Zambon and Kristin (Steve Keller); and 9 grand nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held 2:00 – 4:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco.
