Ray Gipson Sultemeier, 87, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 in Johnson City. She was born March 5, 1927 in Johnson City to Guthrie and Tavie Danz Gipson. Ray was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Chester; sisters, Mattie Mae Gipson and Annie Lee West; and brother, John "Tobe" Gipson. She is survived by her two sisters, Ola Matus and Maxine Parrott; her three sons, Jerry Sultemeier and wife Nadine, Randy Sultemeier, and Mark Sultemeier; two grandsons, Shannon Sultemeier and wife Cindi and Shelby Sultemeier and wife Becky; five great grandsons, Ryan, Ross, Reid, Darren, and Brett. She is also survived by nieces, Mary Ann Thurlkill, Suzanne Hix, and Julie Ann Timmons, nephews, Chuck Matus and Ronald Hayley and other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday morning with Reverends Lee Romero and Bill Weimers officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Johnson City, P.O.
