Reba Sue McIlvain, age 75 of Johnson City, TX, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, March 8, 2006, after a brief battle with lung cancer. Reba was born on October 27, 1930 to Willard and Lois Sitton. She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother, and had many dear friends as well. Among other things, she enjoyed watching the San Antonio Spurs, the Dallas Cowboys (when they were winning) and Tiger Woods. She also enjoyed playing an occasional slot machine, and most of all, spending quality time with her family and grandchildren. Reba was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lt. Colonel Kenneth J. McIlvain, Jr., and her parents. She is survived by her son, David J. McIlvain of Johnson City; daughter-in-law Wendy McIlvain of Bandera; and her daughter and son-in-law, Susan E. & Marshall Campbell, and grandchildren, Jarrett, Rebecca, Rachel, Jacob, Rayen, and Roxanna Campbell, of Santiago, Chile. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Crofts Funeral Home in Johnson City, TX. Burial will follow at the Johnson City Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 10, 2006, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family would like to send a special thanks to Billye, Jake, Rhonda, Debbie, Al and numerous other wonderful nurses and aides at the LBJ Medical Center Nursing Home in Johnson City for their wonderful care and tenderness given to Reba in her final 3 weeks. Also, great appreciation to those family and friends that stopped by to visit her throughout her illness. Thanks also to the nurses at Vista Care Hospice of Kerrville and Dr. Kasper and Dr. Shapiro of Seton Medical Center.
