Rebecca Haertner of Johnson City, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX with family at her side.

Rebecca Haertner was born February 26, 1948 in Texas City to William Turner Sharp and Beatrice Nettie Sharp.  She was raised in Marble Falls, TX where she attended school.  She later received her Cosmetology license. She was a Cosmetologist for over 40 years.

She is survived by her children Shane Haertner and Melba Smith; son-in-law Chris Smith; her brother and sister-in-law Charles and Saundra Sharp; her sister-in-law Mildred Turner; her grandchildren Addison Haertner, Corbyn and Kristen Smith, Darrian Smith, Gavin Smith, La Naeh Smith and Dylan Smith; her two great grandchildren Hezekiah and Joanna Smith; and her best friend Gail Livingston.

She will be remembered most for her faith in Jesus.  She was a loving Mother and best friend to all who knew her.  Her hospitality was beyond measure, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.  We were truly blessed to have been around her and are forever grateful for this wonderful Godly woman.

A memorial service honoring Rebecca's life will be held at 5:00 PM, Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Johnson City H.O.M.E. Church, 405 US 281, Johnson City, TX 78636.
