Robert James Mayo (Bob, OG, Grandpa, Pops), age 79, of Blanco, Texas
passed away Friday, September 10, 2021. He was born in San Antonio,
Texas. Robert was a graduate of Harlindale High School and served in the
Military. He was the best cook ever. If anyone knew him, they knew him for
his enchiladas. He was a beloved Dad, Grandfather, Brother, Father-in-Law,
Uncle and a friend to so many. He enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, gambling,
spending time in Port Aransas and his biggest joy of all was spending time
with his family.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Lucille Mayo and his
brother Johnny Garza. He is survived by his daughter Tracy Mayo and Todd
Rogers of Blanco, daughter Tammy and husband Chris Liesmann of Round
Mountain, daughter Debbie and husband James Greene of Blanco, daughter
Missy and husband Kemp Elliott of Johnson City, son Michael and wife Amy
Mayo of Blanco. He had 15 grandkids: Laken Mayo, Shelby and Savannah
Greene, Wythe and Wren Liesmann, Kipp, Keagan and Kinley Solomon, Callie
Mayo, Kinslee, Cole and Bryceson Elliott, Kristen, Ashton and Brooke Rogers.
Brothers: Frank, Greg and Doug Mayo.
Visitation will be at Crofts-Crow funeral home in Blanco, Texas, Saturday,
September 18 th 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. We will have a Celebration of Life at 3175
Rolling Hills, Blanco, Texas immediately following visitation.
In lieu of flowers, please drink a beer and/or smoke a cigar for our Dad.
