Roger Alonzo Felps was born on July 29, 1933 in Henly, TX to Wylie and Louella Barder Felps.  He was the second of three sons and a daughter and was nicknamed Buddles by Donald, his older brother. Jack the youngest Felps boy, and Donald both preceded Buddles in death.  Buddles married Norma Jean Jones on October 14, 1951 and they had three children, Roger, Valerie, and Paul.  Paul tragically died in 1983.  Buddles is survived by his wife of 70 years, Norma Jean; son, Roger L. and wife Marcia, daughter, Valerie Felps, grandson, Jason Felps, and great grandson Jaxson Felps.  He is also survived by his younger sister Nancy Houla and husband Vic.

In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Blanco Church of Christ, Blanco EMS, Blanco Volunteer Fire Dept., or the charity of your choice.

Graveside services honoring Buddles' life will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, February 17, 2022 at McKinney Cemetery, Blanco, TX.
