Ruben Bazan Guisar , a beloved son, husband, father, and community member, passed away on October 12, 2024 at his home in Spring Branch, Texas, surrounded by his family. Born on June 21, 1945, in Karnes City, Texas, to his loving parents Jose and Elida, Ruben spent his formative years in Campbelton, Texas.
Throughout his career as a truck driver until his retirement in 2010, Ruben displayed dedication and hard work in all his endeavors. He was particularly proud of his 20-year commitment as a volunteer with the Pleasanton EMS, where he selflessly served his local community.
Ruben cherished simple pleasures like enjoying a cup of coffee while admiring the birds on his property and the cherished moments spent with his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of over 59 years, Esperanza Guisar, their children Terry Olvera (Mario), Israel Guisar (Kathy), Ted Guisar (Esther), and Elida Guisar, as well as his sister Margaret Cisneros. Ruben leaves behind a legacy of love, including nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Ruben Guisar will forever be remembered for his kindness, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
