Ryan
Trimble
Sep 5, 1946 — Dec 24, 2024
Blanco
Ryan Trimble passed away on Christmas Eve of 2024. He was born in Nederland, Texas, the oldest son of Ryan Joseph and Geraldine Trimble. He graduated from Lamar University with a degree in economics. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Trimble of Blanco, Texas, his brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Diana Trimble of Katy, Texas, and his sister, Suzy Richards of Lumberton, Texas.
Music was Ryan's passion. He and two of his friends owned a theater called Liberty Hall where they produced the best plays and musical shows in Houston for $2.00 a ticket. In 2016, Ryan was asked to participate in a project at Rice University about the music scene in Houston. His oral history is now in the archives of Rice University. You can see Ryan telling great stories and talking about his music career—just google "Ryan Trimble Rice University Interview."
Ryan was the mayor of Blanco from May of 1991 until April of 1997. He got all the streets paved, computerized City Hall, and built up the police department. He fought against the burning of hazardous waste in cement kilns in the Hill Country. During the drought of '99, he had three wells dug along the river, pumping water into the river and keeping the water plant working to deliver water to all the homes and businesses in Blanco. One of the grants he got built the water tower on the north side of town. He enjoyed being the mayor and being able to help out the citizens of Blanco.
