Obituary

Steven Craig Bounds, Sr. , of Blanco, Texas, passed away Tuesday, 15 December 2020.  Steve was born in San Antonio, Texas to Bobbie and Jim Bounds on 6 February 1957.  He graduated from Dickinson High School in Dickinson, Texas.  He attended Wharton County Junior College in Wharton, Texas.

After college, Steve worked for fourteen years for the Texas Highway Department.  He then worked in plant operations for Celanese, then Lyondellbasell until his retirement in 2019.  During his work life, Steve was a friend and mentor to his work-mates.  He enjoyed teaching anyone who was willing to learn.

Steve had a passion for the country life.  Steve enjoyed horse-back riding, hunting, fishing, boating, camping and many other outdoor activities.  After living in the Houston area during his work life, he and Cindy bought some acreage in Blanco.  They were able to enjoy a few years of country life, along with the cows, goats, chickens and dogs.

Steve was a member of the Blanco Masonic Lodge # 216 and the Order of the Eastern Star Blanco Chapter # 934.  He was raised a Master Mason in Friendswood, Texas.  He and Cindy attended and supported the Blanco Cowboy Church.

Steve is survived by his spouse Cindy Bird Bounds of Blanco, Texas, four children: daughter Misty Bounds of Friendswood, Texas, son Steven Craig  Bounds, Jr. (Ashley) of League City, Texas, daughter Sierra Bounds of Baytown, Texas and step-son Brady Tuttoilmondo (Kelley) of League City, Texas, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, brother Brian Bounds (Diane) of Friendswood, Texas and half-sister Cindy Bounds Pinedo (Felipe) of Brea, California.  He had many other loving family members including, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Blanco Cowboy Church, 245 Blanco Cowboy Church Trail, Blanco, TX 78606.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM that morning also at Blanco Cowboy Church.  Interment will follow in the Blanco Historic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations can be made to the Fisher House Foundation San Antonio ( fisherhouse.org ) or Shriners Hospital for Children ( shrinershospitalsforchildren.org ).
