Steven Wayne Carpenter passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at his home in Harker Heights, TX with his loving children by his side.  Steven was born October 16, 1953 in San Antonio, TX to Harry Kenton Carpenter and Patty (Smith) Carpenter.

Steve graduated from East Central Highschool in San Antonio. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy for two years. Steve went on to work for and retire from both the US Postal Service as well as the Leander School District.

Steven was preceded in death by his sister, Connie (Nagel) Capenter. He is survived by parents, Harry and Patty Carpenter; his children, Cari Capenter, Kevin Carpenter, and Carol Anne Carpenter; his brothers, Harry Carpenter, Jr., Mike Capenter, Chris Stevens, and Scott Stevens; and his grandchildren, Ashton Carpenter, Avery Carpenter, Reigne Carpenter, Madison Rhymes, and Kiley Carpenter.

A graveside service honoring Steve's life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021 at Miller Creek Cemetery in Johnson City, TX with Pastor Jim Boatright officiating.
