Steven Randall Jung entered heaven's celebration on Easter morning surrounded by his loved ones on April 17, 2022, at 11:23 a.m. at his home in Johnson City, Texas.

Born in Austin, Texas, on March 29, 1961, to proud and loving parents Joe Charles Jung and Sylvia Caraway Jung Steven was the big brother to Scott Jung and later had two beautiful children Forrest Brandon Jung and Chaise Amber Jung. Steven married the love of his life Elizabeth Jung where his family grew to include more children Cindy Bindseil and husband Brant, Richard Saenz and wife Jennifer, and Andrew. Steven loved his time with his grandchildren Kaylee, Khloe, Hunter and Luke.

Steven shared many great memories with his grandparents and parents that greatly influenced his life. Growing up in South Austin with his family, he attended school and was active in sports including basketball, baseball and swimming. Steven was also in the Austin Symphony Choir. He later attended Southwest Texas State University where he played basketball. After graduating, he attended law school in Oklahoma and soon after opened his law office. He practiced criminal defense both at the local and federal levels. Steven retired early and began spending time traveling with Elizabeth, enjoying time with his family, especially the grandkids, taking survival trips where he created life-lasting friendships, fly-fishing trips to Belize, Colorado, Alaska, Oklahoma and Florida, and his annual bird-hunting trips to Montana, and volunteering in charitable organizations. Steven also loved reading books and writing.

Steven had a special place in his heart for those diagnosed with cancer and widows. He volunteered at Reel Recovery a national non-profit allowing men with cancer the opportunity to get outside and fly-fish with experienced guides. St. Jude's Children's Hospital was also a favorite charity.

Steven is survived by his parents, wife, brother, children and grandchildren. Steven was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Robert Earl Caraway and Elva Caraway and paternal grandparents Odas Jung and Josephine Jung.

Memorial service will be held at Hyde Park Baptist Church – Christ Chapel on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Chapel is located at 3901 Speedway, Austin, Texas 78751.
