Vernon Zuercher, 71, passed away August 17, 2006 after an illness of six months. He was a longtime rancher in the Kendalia/Spring Branch area. He was born in New Braunfels on May 25, 1935 to Elton and Ottilia Nuegebauer Zuercher.He is survived by his wife, Frances; 3 sons: Vernon Zuercher, Jr of Kendalia, Anthony Zuercher of Spring Branch, Ronald Chance of Houston; 6 Daughters: Cindy Solarski of San Antonio, Teresa Roeder of Johnson City, Danita Elmore of Riverside, CA, Nancy Miehle of Pasadena, Sheryl Chance of Tempe, AZ, Tammy Chance, Seabrook; a brother; Allen Zuercher of Boerne; a sister: Gladys Allman of San Antonio; 19 granchilddren and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held in the family's home.
