William Earl Benge of Johnson City, TX passed away at his home Saturday, August 19, 2023.  William was born July 22, 1965, in Richmond, IN to Arthur and Judy Benge.

He received his associate degree from ITT Technical Institute at University of Arizona. William proudly served four years with the U.S. Army during the Gulf War.

He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Benge.  William is survived by his mother, Judy Benge; daughter, Crystal Shaffer and husband Chris; son, William Colbert and wife Danyiel; sister, Missy Hanson; three grandchildren, Ashlynn Shaffer, Judith Shaffer, and Elizabeth Colbert.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and many dear friends.

A memorial service honoring William's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Faith Christian Cowboy Church, 1597 N. US 281, Johnson City, TX 78636.
