Willie M. Montoya, 81, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 in Johnson City. Willie was born in Nixon, TX to Antonio and Lenor Mongilla Montoya. Willie married Estella Herrera December 3, 1955 and they were blessed with two daughters. Later they were to divorce but always remained very dear friends. Willie joined and proudly served the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Antonio, Sr., Joe, and James; three sisters, Otillia Gonzales, Lupe Huerta, and Trini Reyes; and one great grandchild, Isaac Medina.
Willie is survived by his two daughters, Priscilla Hernandez and husband Carlos, and Lori Ann Montoya; former spouse and dear friend, Estella Herrera; one brother, Henry Montoya; three sisters, Mary Ann, Maria, and Delores; six grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM ? 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 11 and 3:00 PM ? 8:00 PM Thursday, March 12 at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City where a Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday evening. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, March 13, 2015 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 285 281 Loop Rd., Johnson City, TX 78636.
